We strive to ensure that your order arrives in perfect condition and as expected. However, should you find any issue with your purchase from marouchocolate.com, our return and refund policies are as follows:

Reporting Issues

If your chocolates are damaged, melted, incorrectly shipped, or if you encounter any other problems, please reach out to us at care@marouchocolate.com within three (3) business days of delivery. We regret that we cannot accept returns or process refunds if this window is missed.


If your chocolate is broken but NOT melted or discolored, it is still considered fit for consumption and does not qualify for a refund. While we take the utmost care in packing and shipping, minor breakage may occur and is not refundable.

Required Proof

All claims must include clear photographic evidence showing the product condition and the packaging. This helps us assess the situation and determine an appropriate resolution. Compensation will not exceed the value of the product concerned.

Exceptions to our Guarantee

We cannot be held responsible in the following cases:

  • Incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer

  • Any changes to the shipping address made after the order has shipped

  • Products damaged, melted, or discolored after delivery

  • Delivery delays caused by the carrier or force majeure

  • Parcels not collected within the courier’s timeframe

  • Requests based on personal preference or change of mind

  • Import duties, VAT, or customs clearance fees charged by the destination country.

Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate, no returns are accepted under any circumstance, even if the product is unopened or unused.

Unclaimed Packages

If a package is not collected on the courier's first visit or if multiple delivery attempts fail, we regret that a refund will not be possible.

Cooling-Off Period Exception

As per Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the legal 14-day cooling-off period does not apply to perishable agri-food products. No refund or return is accepted for personal convenience or change of mind.

Non-Perishable Items (if applicable)

Non-perishable items (e.g., accessories) may be returned within 14 days of receipt, if unused and in original condition. Prior approval from our team is required. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense.

Compensation Options

If MAROU FRANCE accepts a return due to a visible fault or a discrepancy in the delivered products confirmed by us, the customer will be entitled to either a free replacement or a credit note for future purchases, excluding any form of indemnity or damages.

Refund Process

Upon receipt and inspection of your claim, we will inform you if the refund has been approved. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within thirty (30) business days. Please be aware that any benefits obtained upon purchase will be annulled if a refund is issued.
